3.Under the condition of high carbon content, in order to obtain high-strength gray cast iron castings, the melting process adopts the process of scrap steel and carburizing agent, so as to make the molten iron purer and produce castings with high material properties. Clean materials without oil stain shall be used for smelting to avoid electric leakage or excessive scum.

In the past, the iron filings added by some manufacturers during smelting contained oil, which was prone to carbon deposition. The carbon deposition part is on the cold surface of the furnace lining, or even deposited in the thermal insulation layer. Because the furnace lining has not been fully sintered, it infiltrates into the rear of the furnace lining, and co reacts with CO → C + O2 ↑ to generate C, which is deposited in the pores of the furnace lining cold surface or thermal insulation materials. When carbon deposition occurs, it will cause grounding leakage of the furnace body and the spark of the coil.
